Another nice paddle on my ski from the beach by our house, along the beach and into the estuary and then weaving in and out of the sandbanks as I headed inland. There was probably enough wind for windsurfing and definitely enough for kiting as I entered the estuary, but once in the lee of the hill I didn't notice it and I think it soon dropped anyway, so I didn't really miss out on any wind-powered action.

I stopped on a sandbank for a little rest and a drink at one point and spent some time just exploring some of the estuary.

Coming back was quite hard work as I was against the wind and against the tide, and I ws alos right out in the middle of the estuary so it was didfficult to judge if I was actually making much headway. Obviously I was, but with no nearby landmarks or features it was difficult to tell. By the time I got to the mouth of the estuary I was pretty exhausted and my back was aching, so geting out through the mouth of the estuary against the tide was actually quite a struggle and from there it still took me about 20 minutes to slowly paddle along the beach to the path by our house.

All in all a really nice afternoon out and a good work out too.
